29- Programmed for Love

Dane: [GM] Shall I just assume you guys go back to the hotel and change? I promise I won't let any other murderers happen between now and then.
Soo: [OOC] I'm cool with that. Maybe we could skip ahead to us getting some sleep and going off on this hike in the morning? Guys?
Ian: [OOC] Seeing as I still have wounds I haven't finished healing, I'm good with that.
Kyle: [OOC] Seeing as I just GOT wounds I need to be healing, I'm good with that.
Joe: [OOC] I'm fine with that.
Soo: [OOC] Really?
Joe: [OOC] What?
Soo: [OOC] You have absolutely no new way to mess with this to contribute? You're not going to insist on playing out the entire night so you can, I dunno, rob a liquor store or something while we sleep?
Joe: [OOC] Maybe I'm just engaged in the story and wish to see it continue? Stop forcing your murderous trolling onto me woman.
Soo: [OOC] ...
Soo: [OOC] I'll... be getting some coffee. Brb.
Dane: [GM] The night passes without incident and in the morning you are all kitted up to travel out of town to the place Dillon Johnson disappeared to last week.
Joe: [GR-210] "Perhaps we should look into a corpse-digging shovel for me."
Kyle: [Bailey Hunt] Bailey stares blankly at GR-210.
Joe: [GR-210] "Who will... totally be alive and okay and everything. And I will not kill."
Ian: [Mari Shasho] Mari walks in on the rest of the group looking miserable in her snow-clothes. "I can't wiggle my toes, this is the worst outfit ever."
Joe: [GR-210] GR skitters over to Mari and stabs at her foot with his robot-legs. "Shut up and stop trying to be the quirky one!"
Soo: [Kali dVostog] Kali walks in, still tucking on a scarf. "Somehow I doubt we'll find him dead GR-210. Also, stop pestering Mari."
Kyle: [Bailey Hunt] Bailey tips up his hat. "Why you thinkin' that miss?"
Soo: [Kali dVostog] "The shopkeeper and the bartender both said Johnson made purchases himself. Neither seemed to imply he was being held hostage or kidnapped."
Kyle: [Bailey Hunt] "So yer thinkin' it's-"
Ian: [Mari Shasho] Mari kicks GR-210 away gently. "-A scam-job. Dillon just made it look like he got kidnapped."
Joe: [OOC] PAUSE! How the wet fuck did you do that?
Dane: [GM] What?
Joe: [OOC] Ian finished Kyle's sentence. How the hell do you do that in a TYPED CHAT.
Kyle: [OOC] Me and Ian decided to try and tag-team a couple sentences. We figure since Mari and Bailey are old friends and teammates, they probably do that. We just practiced RPing and saw if we were consistent about finishing sentences correctly.
Joe: [OOC] I'm going to dwell as little as humanly possible on what you were RPing.
Soo: [Kali dVostog] "I'm not sure why. He could have wanted the money from the ransom. I never looked into his finances."
Joe: [GR-210] "Illogical! If he did, why come all the way to this bumpkin town and get off hiking? It would be more logical to stay someplace safer. I deduce that Johnson engineered the kidnapping to allow himself to be unaccounted for. Either the kidnappers and the ransom were part of the set-up to make it seem real, or they were going off-script for side money, it seems only logical that Johnson is up here for a reason."
Kyle: [Bailey Hunt] Bailey seems a bit shocked. "That's a right logical deduction if I ever saw one..."
Joe: [OOC] I figured it out hours ago.
Dane: [GM] The idea that I could surprise you is completely unknown to you, right?
Joe: [OOC] You could, but you won't. I just wanted us to get on the trail.
Ian: [OOC] Because the sooner we got on the trail, the sooner Johnson would turn out to be a villain-
Kyle: [OOC] -and the sooner GR-210 would get to murder him for it.
Joe: [OOC] Hey! Now your finishing my ideas too! We should tag team more like this. Any room in Bailey and Mari's bed for GR-210 to cuddle in? I'm programmed for love.
Kyle: [OOC] For the last time we're not...
Soo: [OOC] Dane, I think the group is becoming a hive-mind.
Dane: [GM] Something far worse Soo: a gaming group.

  1. Joe's "Pause!" line is in Kyle's blue. Which is pretty confusing.

    1. Corrected. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm kind of surprised it doesn't happen more often.
