77- Spellrammer

Dane: [Skeleton 3, in good health] Skeleton 3 retaliates the attack that just missed him by swinging his weapon at Mari.
Joe: [OOC] Skeleton 3? He's just sort of going by the number now?
Ian: [OOC] I love how it retaliates towards something Kali did by attacking Mari.
Soo: [OOC] It's the restless dead Ian, I don't think it's that critical on a strategic level.
Dane: [GM] You know my personal dislike of writing combat text, don't aggravate it.
[Dane] ROLLS. [GM] RECEIVES RESULTS.
Dane: [GM] However the strike swings wide.
Kyle: [OOC] Okay Dane is kind of running on fumes here, let's just wrap this up quickly.
Joe: [GR-210] GR-210 tries to bash his metal head into the skeleton who has now formally adopted '3' as a name.
[Joe] ROLLS. [GM] RECEIVES RESULTS.
Dane: [GM] GR bounces into the skeleton's leg, knocking it down into a kneel.
Kyle: [OOC] Ancient warriors who work on the job for thousands of years only to be reduced to featureless skeletons identified only by a number. There's a social commentary in here somewhere.
Soo: [OOC] Freaking ancient temple builders. They're the 1%.
Dane: [Danielle] Danielle fires off another shot at that skeleton GR-210 just hit.
[Dane] ROLLS. [GM] RECEIVES RESULTS.
Dane: [GM] However this shot misses.
Kyle: [OOC] We're trying our best here Dane, we really are.
Ian: [Mari Shasho] Mari swings her shotgun around and aims it as Skeleton 3. "This'll end ya!" she yells as she fires.
[Ian] ROLLS. [GM] RECEIVES RESULTS.
Dane: [GM] Thank Gygax, it hits and the skeleton explodes.
Ian: [OOC] Somehow I feel like a wizard blowing up a skeleton with a shotgun should have been more fulfilling.
Joe: [OOC] It's not always satisfying Ian. Sometimes it's the best thing in the world, other times you just roll over, go to sleep and make the GM some breakfast in the morning.
Kyle: [OOC] What aspect of tabletop gaming can you not equate to sex?
Joe: [OOC] Absolutely no part. Me and the wife retool old adventure modules into erotic escapades as a form of foreplay. Spellrammer was particularly good.
Kyle: [OOC] Don't you mean Spelljammer?
Joe: [OOC] No, no I don't.
Dane: [GM] Aaaand you've successfully made me want to pay more attention to the combat. Anything to avoid thinking about this conversation.
Joe: [OOC] Service with a smile bro.
Dane: [Skeleton 4] The last skeleton charges in a berserk fashion up toward Bailey.
Kyle: [Bailey Hunt] Bailey levels his pistol at this skeleton and fires off a round.
[Kyle] ROLLS. [GM] RECEIVES RESULTS.
Dane: [GM] The shot smashes through the center of the skeleton's ribcage and severs the spinal cord. The whole lot smashes to the ground in a dusty mess.
Soo: [Kali dVostog] Kali sighs with relief. "If I could clap, I would. Good show."
Kyle: [Bailey Hunt] Bailey tips his hat with a smirk.
Soo: [OOC] Two kills in one combat might be a record for him, so I figured I'd be nice.
Ian: [Mari Shasho] Mari runs back up to the group and gives Kali a hug. "Okay so we're all sufficiently scared now. What's next?"
Dane: [GM] As the last skeleton collapses, a hollow, howling noise wafts through the chamber and the stones of the central depression in the room begin to rumble and move. They eventually reconfigure into a set of stairs leading downward.
Ian: [OOC] *Legend of Zelda secret passage noise*
Joe: [GR-210] "Ah! I see! Load-bearing skeletons. The classic method of tomb security."
